Towards Borrowdale
LPH Day Two - we went out as a group without John today. First stop, the edge of Derwent Water near the Ashness landing stage. We spent quite a long time along the waters edge. Next stop Ashness bridge, where I actually managed to photograph the bridge, an iconic view of the lake district, without any people around. We also walked up the hill to the vantage point at the top with this view towards Borrowdale. We came here last time and I posted this photo taken from just to the left of the tree in the left of today's picture.
After a picnic by the river we went on to Watendlath for a walk around the tarn. Sue took a great picture of the bridge there. It was very hot in the sun all day so we just had to finish with an ice cream! Another late night after reviewing the pictures. I learnt a new function on my camera today and also did some experimenting, that's what the week is all about.
