Jervaulx Abbey

Never been to Jervaulx Abbey before, it must have been an enormous and spectacular place which seems to be little known. It's privately owned, though open to the public, which may account for that in part. This is a quiet spot as you enter the complex, a carved statue of a monk and a few small pillars. Very tranquil and lovely. Recommend a walk round if you are in north Yorkshire.
