I got a loverly bunch of hollyhocks

A wonderful combination - this year' scarlet hollyhocks commingled with wild sweetpeas.

They look like something painted by Millais or Dante Gabriel Rossetti, don't they, with those rich colours and intricate, eloquent curving lines.

I've been rather a casual rather than constant gardener this summer, but sometimes that can be a benefit..
