A Busy But Enjoyable Day

Had a very busy day today after a bit of a lay in.

I walked over to Hylands Park and joined hundreds of other women for Race For Life. I did quite well as I ran a best time. I'm not a fast runner at all so any little sign I'm getting better really encourages me. It nearly killed me though...think I need to do more running!

Walked home and very sadly saw the air ambulance land on the road near where I live...a lady apparently had been knocked down. I do hope she's ok.

Did more gardening. Got scratched and bitten. But the garden is looking much better for it.

Quick shower and got ready for Ingatestone Hall where we were watching a production of A Midsummer Nights Dream. It's a beautiful place. I must return to have a better look round another day.

The play was great. We had our cool bag filled with Hendricks, tonic, lemon, mint and cucumber...and strawberries. The sun shone for most of it, but right at the end it started to rain. Good job it was at the end although we did take rain jackets just incase.

Home, ate and watched Benjamin Button. A great film....a great day.
