... will block the view of other spectators.

Stage 2 of the Tour de France passed about 300m from our door today. So it was worth the short walk (driving anywhere else being prevented by extensive road closures) and standing waiting for the passing peloton.

Suddenly, as the cyclists came into view, three inconsiderate spectators stepped out into the road, blocking the view for many other people who were obeying the race marshall's requests to keep the route clear. I was able to use the articulated screen and hold the camera above their heads.

An even more stupid situation yesterday had several spectators encroaching so far onto the course that riders had to dismount. They were also reaching out and touching the cyclists! You have to question the sanity of some people.
