The Harbour, South Queensferry.

Another lovely still morning and we took off heading for South Queensferry.
Stopped in a lay-by opposite Rosyth and took a couple of long distance shots of the HMS Queen Elizabeth but the distance was too great and they are quite fuzzy. Felt a bit like espionage but neither George Smiley nor Special Branch have showed up yet so fingers crossed!
Carried on into South Queensferry, past the site of the new Forth Crossing bridge: work is progressing, the big support pillars are sticking up our of the river and the new connecting roads are also taking shape. How on earth do they know what needs done and in what order!
We parked up in the Main Street, it was still quite early so plenty room, and wandered down to the little harbour.
After taking lots of photos, we went on through Dalmeny towards Edinburgh Airport where we watched a few aircraft taking off but only one coming in to land. Interesting to spot one of the Edinburgh trams trundling up to the terminal building then back in towards the city.
Home, lunch then some guddling about in the garden. Watered the tubs and baskets then set about cleaning the lawn mower. Had to take shelter rather quickly in the garage due to a sharp thunder plump. Lots of flashes and rumbles and plenty of rain/hail. So much for my earlier watering!
