Light and shadow
A full and quite enjoyable day - Farmers Market, yoga, then D went to the bottle bank and met J who gave him a roll of banknotes to pass on to me. (Payment for spooky banjo recording a couple of months ago, nothing dodgy!)
Later up to the Pear Tree to watch the Belgium v Argentina match with some of the Lothian 68 gang. The football was followed by a musical interlude featuring 5 young chaps from Soweto singing acappella - they were pretty good. I particularly liked the singer doing the bass part who was playing his part on an air bass guitar whilst he sang. The others had gone off to the Mosque Kitchen to eat but we'd already eaten so decided to come home and listen to Costa Rica v Holland on the radio. Fell asleep before it got to penalties.....
I was aware that tomorrow would be the anniversary of Chaiselongue's death and was thinking of a possible blip for her - but when I saw the picture of Lambs House that I'd taken as we walked home I knew it was for her, given her love of light and shadow. There's even a balcony, albeit not a very elegant one! It's a year since she posted what turned out to be her final blip.
