Lulworth Cove

Fortified by a good night's sleep and a huge breakfast, we set off for a day's exploring.

We started off by going to Durdle Door. We went down to the beach and walked along the pebbles, before going back up the "steps" (much scrambling was involved) and over to Lulworth Cove. After that, we walked over the cliffs to West Lulworth and back - hard on the knees but well worth the effort!

Next on the agenda was a visit to Abbotsbury Swannery. Feeding time was quite a sight!

Finally, we drove out to Portland Bill and had a delicious meal at the Pulpit Inn.

I couldn't possibly improve on the classic view of the rock arch at Durdle Door, so here instead is a view of adjoining Lulworth Cove, just on the other side of the arch.

Backblips start here.
