CELEBRATION

Another opportunity to experiment with the camera settings – this time at the Fourth of July fireworks display downtown by the river. Another first was using the monopod, which is so much easier for holding the camera steady during the long exposure to capture the bursts of light. The show didn’t start until well after 10 p.m., so the most difficult part was beating the traffic to get back home in time to decide on which shot to use and get it blipped before midnight.
