Manhattan

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful day!

We started out at Coney Island in the rain. Thought I had my blip with kids on the boardwalk playing with umbrellas. So fun.

Then we went to an Uzbeki restaurant. So good! And nothing like it in our small town. We ordered so many things and it came out family style so we just tried it all. Yummy avocado salad, or a salad with radish and onion. Then there were these pasties stuffed with meat or with pumpkin. We enjoyed it very much.

We had planned to go to the park below the Brooklyn Bridge to watch the fireworks, but were watching the weather. It cleared up and we went. Found an absolutely fantastic place to watch on pier 2 .... Lots of families, space to run around, and turns out, right in the he middle of the three launches that had the fireworks. Fabulous. And we got home without any trouble.
