The Haka
Lynn and I headed into town to have a bit of a photography outing, but didn't have to go far for our first stop. There was a Waka (maori canoe) race on the lake and teams from around the North Island were competing.
We chatted with some fine young lads from Gisborne and when we jokingly suggested that maybe they could do a haka (a maori war chant) for us on the jetty they were more than happy to oblige.
They were brilliant, especially the lead guy who had the most amazing facial expressions. Have promised to send them some of the photos.
Spent time around Rotorua and got some great photos, hard to choose what to Blip, but these guys came up trumps.
