Independence Day!

Absolutely fabulous weather for our 4th of July celebrations--sunny & warm--so it was perfect for all the parades, picnics & cook outs! Late blip for me today, but what's the 4th of July celebration without fireworks, & you can't see the fireworks until it gets dark!! We watched our city's display from up on the hill, & could see the fireworks of our neighbor city to the south as well, so got twice the show!! (& twice the loud BOOMS as they went off!)
We're all packed & ready to leave on vacation tomorrow morning! We're flying to Albany (New York) to see the twins and their parents--Albany is close to 1000 miles from our house--& it's the first time we've been out there since they moved. We hear the girls are super excited that we're coming, & we're just as excited to be going! Hopefully we'll do some sightseeing, as they're only about 25 miles from the Adirondak mountains & I'm sure there's lots of gorgeous scenery! I may not be commenting as often over the next week, as I have a feeling that the girls will be keeping us busy! --Unless I can stay awake after they go to bed! Ha! Can't wait! :)
