Ringlet Butterfly

Very hot and windy today. The dog cooled off by having a good long swim in a pond while I stood there sweltering. Only managed to photograph this Ringlet as he was sitting in the shade in a sheltered spot from the wind. Sitting with its wings almost flat which is unusual for a ringlet. It was fairly old I think as it had well worn wings.
