Brown Butterfly

Very SOFT and delicate, I'm sure!

Google would seem to indicate it is a Ringlet. You have to trust Google don't you? The description of its behaviour matches. Apparently it is one of the few butterflies which is happy to flit about in dull weather and today was, indeed, dull....and windy.

We headed off to Morton Loch to shelter from the wind and the butterflies were all over the place. We also saw 3 herons perched on a large pine sheltering from the wind.

We did not see an otter or a red squirrel. I am beginning to think these are a figment of the nature reserve managements imagination! A ploy, if you will, to lure us suckers in!

Time for Masterchef and the weekend is a little closer!
