Visitors and immigrants from the northern hemisphere have often remarked favourably on the Australian winter. Let me tell you that it was days like today which influenced their opinions. Not the faintest suggestion of wind, mild temperatures, sunny blue skies and totally magic light.

On such occasions, I reckon blippers should forget all about clever light reflections, gritty street commentary and artistic monochromes. They should just get to some vantage point and start shooting scenery. Anyway that's what I did. Here is a view of the Jamison Valley from a vantage point near the Wentworth Falls.
