Idyllic Summer

What a way for July to greet us - warm sunshine and blue skies all day. I got up early to cycle to work, this is always my preference as the route is quieter and I can relax and enjoy the scenery more than I would if I were rushing along. I worked at my desk all day but could hear the calming sound of the birds singing and trees rustling in the gentle breeze. I stopped at 4pm for a break and took a walk around the botanical garden. It seemed idyllic, the flowers are plentiful right now and the garden busy with people quietly absorbing their beauty. Home to enjoy some exciting tennis and to read my book. This is how I like the summer to be!
