A Year in Phnom Penh

Farewell, fare well

One of the realities of living abroad is that people come and go. Friendships are fast then past. Some goodbyes are harder than others, although all are new doors opening for people. Today's goodbye was particularly hard. Jenny and Justin took a little time to find, despite having arrived at the same time as us (nearly 4 years ago!), but when our paths crossed, it turns out we had many things in common. Jenny's brother had been in Ghana with Berry in 2001; Justin likes an argument as much as me; we all love food and drink; we shared several friends in common; shisha; coffee; brunch; talking politics; and more. They are friends we always enjoy spending time with!

As they left, I yelled don't go. Jenny, unaware of my presence, thought it was a word from God. Then she looked up!

See you in blighty lovely friends!
