Bella Vista Cafe, North Head
A day off, but had to spend it driving to Sydney and running paperwork around from one end of Sydney to the other. In order to make something 'day off like' about it, I collected Mum and Mark and as I had to go to Manly, we went off to the North Head National Park, set up high just above Manly. It's been many many years since I've been to Manly - I was more impressed than I expected:)
This cafe, situated in the North Head National Park, is perched in a great spot to enjoy fabulous harbour views. Mark very kindly treated us to a wonderful lunch, sitting out on a terrace, under a huge moreton bay fig, catching the sun, watching the boats navigate out of the heads. We all had the macadamia encrusted barramundi, with a beetroot, fig and almond salad. - delicious!
This park also looks back up the harbour to the city - what a view - and at sunset it would be particularly spectacular.
The weather was perfect - what a lovely time.
