Elky Summer?

This beautiful bull elk is watching over his 2 ladies. He's a healthy boy; just a bit bigger than a horse. His antlers are just starting to grow out for the season and are in velvet. In 5 more weeks, they will reach about 5 to 6 feet in length with 6 tines. He had that many last year. Try as I may, I can never find his shed antlers. They are carried off by other animals before I can locate them. He is a regular in the meadow below my house, so I see him quite often. It's private property and no hunting is allowed on any properties around us...I think Mr. Mighty knows this and will live to spawn several more babies in years to come.
