Last Picture of my Babies
This is day 10 of the baby robin pictures. It's hard to believe...but they will be flying out of here in 6 days. From hatched to homeless in 16 days.
As much as I want to...I will not take any more pictures of them. When they start staring back at me, it's time to stop. I don't want to be the reason that they get frightened, and attempt to leave the nest early.
We took a late night drive to take my 3 kayaks over to Mikes (see yesterday's blip) 2 boys, who are staying on a river called the Shiawassee. They (14 of them all together) are all from North Dakota, and have rented a castle-like house on the river. Quite a place, although it is so old it doesn't have air conditioning. With near 90F degrees temperatures expected...I hope they'll be all right. I'm sure the in-ground pool will get a workout.
On my way to deliver the 'yaks, we passed through Durand...the railroad center of Michigan, and Corunna, the county seat. A few shots from those 2 cities are on my FLICKR PAGE. Track on over, and have a look.
