Duck Race

It is time for the Duck Race again! It's a fundraiser for the primary school and quite fun for all the children to cheer on their little plastic ducks floating down the river. Decent weather too, but a bit chilly today. We went to see my Dad afterwards, which was very nice. Got some really sad news though - an old school friend of my Mam's has died. Since we lost mam almost five years ago, her friend has always kept in touch reminiscing about their time together as friends and has been incredibly generous to the girls, sending them gifts for birthdays, Christmas and Easter. When we didn't hear back from her after we sent our card this Easter, we were worried and sure enough she had fallen ill and died just last week. Very sad.
