Formation

This scraggy little robin sits on our birdfeeder regularly.

His feathers look as though they're still in the process of growing. I feel that this ordination training is a little like that. I'm in the process of being formed into a priest. I feel a long way off at the moment, but not as far off as I did this time last year. Formation, of course, is a lifelong process and even when (if) I'm ordained I will still be in the process of being formed.
