The Magnificent Severn

We have gone away for a couple of days to the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean.

We haven't been here for about 30 years, so thought it was time for a re-visit.

This is the view from Lydney Harbour. Forgive my ignorance but I didn't realise Lydney had a harbour. It has, and the view thus evening down the River Severn was lovely. It was just starting to rain though, which was a pity.

This is looking up towards Gloucester. In the other direction is the Severn Road Bridge. So far we are really having a good time.

Don't know why we left it 30 years to come back.
