Men at Work
I had lots of plans for the day, but the US/Germany match took precedence, starting at 8am. The weather didn't seem to phase the stalwart lads, despite the fact that flooding prevented many of the friends and family of the US team from getting to the stadium in Recife. It wasn't a brilliant game but they made it out of the "group of death", and lived to fight another day, despite looking a bit bedraggled. Their German coach seemed a remarkably affable fellow. It must have been a bit strange coaching his lads in a match against Germany.
I've spent most of the rest of the day puttering around doing very little. Dana and Peter came by to eye the ailing pool. I have no doubt that Dana will come back with a drawing for the newly designed space, and Peter went cheerfully off to the store with OilMan with a promise of a hot dog at Ozzie"s. (Not the dog but the diner next to the grocery store.)
Pedro and David will be here later. We'll see if they have come up with any ideas other than fish….
I'm guessing David will have lots, and Pedro will just get down to figuring out how to go about taking out the pool.
