Saul's first immunisations this morning, barely a whimper from him and no ill effects. The temptation to make sure I catch the rotavirus is strangely compelling.

2007 saw the release of a song very close to my heart, Make a Plan to Love Me by Bright Eyes. I'd never bought much by Conor Oberst, before but everything I'd heard from Cassadaga impressed me and so I took the plunge. Make a Plan to Love Me is the most straightforward track on there, but it's simple and beautiful. The special element is that after much deliberation Tracey and me chose this as the first dance at our wedding in 2008, was great to twirl around to in the company of family and friends. It's a bit long mind you when you've got two left feet like me.
