Emergency Sunset Blip

As days go, I've had a hell of a lot better ...
Most of the day seemed to make some sense ... Just the usual stress and strain of a working day ...
But then I got home and decided to take a well earned shower before taking a half hour rest, then make some tea ...
I managed about two minutes in the shower, then I started to get electric shocks through the metal hose connecting the tap to the shower head ...
Mildly concerned, I wasn't ... Crazy with panic, I was ...
I managed to get out of the shower alive, but decided not to risk a shave ...
Instead I rang the emergency line of Guernsey Electrics ...

The rest of the evening was taken up in the company of two very nice electricians trying to locate an earthing fault in an electrical system so old that it pre-dates electricity ...

We've asked for a quote on a rewiring job ... Gulp !!

Anyway, as tea was cooking on the gas stove at 9 o'clock this evening, I quickly nipped down the road to catch an emergency blip before sunset ... :o)

The electric fault has been temporarily isolated, but I'm still not happy getting back into that shower ... :o|
