Crocodile Tears
"Take a guide to protect you from dangerous animal" is the advice we received from our hotelier in Bangkok as we trotted map-in-hand up to Khao Yai, a national park just north of Bangkok, for some hitch-hiking, camping and night safari fun.
Pah, who needs a guide?! We were able to navigate our way to a couple of waterfalls, following a winding river until...erm...we reached signs warning us of crocodiles. No sweat! We've all seen Crocodile Hunter yeah? Just poke 'em in the eye, jump on their backs & tie their mouths shut with make-shift bamboo rope. Ahem. OK, I for one was petrified & spent most of the time jumping at any leaf dropping from the trees! So when we saw a GIANT lizard creeping along the path in front of us, there was a lot of dust seen & not a lot of Cathy & George...
