Culprit
Our lives this summer have been accompanied by the sound of the blackbird. Whilst they make a beautiful sound when singing, their manic alarm calling is another matter.
This blackbird is often on this branch just outside our bedroom window and when we have it open in the summer the noise acts as a very unwelcome alarm in the early hours of the morning.
I tried to capture this today as the sound is accompanied by much wing flapping but I didn't succeed but I did quite like this one of Mrs Black bird with her beak full and therefore unable to make any noise!
Of course the real culprits are our cat and the four that live next door, not to mention the sundry others in the neighbourhood!
