Measuring Up

Today was a day of two halves. We started off with a fun play date at Ethan's pal, Anna's house. Their mutual friend Lucinda was there too. Good for the mummies to have a catch up together as well as the kids.

Then in the afternoon, Ethan helped hubbie measure up the conservatory before we went back to Ikea (Glasgow this time) to buy lots of the storage we'd looked at yesterday. Ethan went into their crèche quite happily again. However after 40 minutes there was a message over the tannoy asking for "Ethan's parents" to go straight to the crèche. Uh oh we thought and abandoned our trolley to rush over there. When we looked in, he was charging around quite happily ... according to the staff he'd been asking when we were coming back and when they said "20 minutes" he would reply "then 5, then 4, then 3 minutes" so they decided they'd better call us! When we asked him if he wanted to come out or stay and play for longer, he said he wanted to stay in the crèche! So off we went again to try to finish our shopping!

We dropped him off at the Foreveryoungs on the way back home, for his weekly sleepover. I then did my overtime while hubbie spent hours building flat pack furniture!
