Approaching Hampton

About the Day
Called in at the Vs after work to watch the second half of England versus Costa Coffee. Nil Nil. Rubb Ish. Cath had gone singing and with the match over, Dan went off to finalise plans with his mates before heading off to Glastonbury tomorrow. So I drove out to a pull in just outside Barston for a trek north towards Hampton in Arden.

About the Blip
By evening time the clouds had greyed and lowered. I have walked this way many times though not for several years. I noticed the quality of the path had deteriorated in the sense it was restricted with encroaching undergrowth and debris. It had baked hard too. Yet it's a glorious short wander on undulating ground with views towards Hampton and beyond. And to the south, the skies are lit with pin bright diamonds, three or four queued, awaiting directions for landing at Birmingham Airport. To the west, off the track, there's a bowl of land where the rush of low aircraft gush, woosh and sheesh sound spirals in a stereophonic spin. A sensational way to spend an hour.
