Sports Day

Sort of. The littlest member of the crew was eager to get the bigger kids help him train for his upcoming sports day. There was some running and three-legged nonsense but I drew the line at egg and spoon, despite being assured that the grass was very soft.

The day started with the four of us hiring out a local tennis court for an hour. Anna was initially quite frustrated with herself but once she was persuaded she had to actually run about and the ball wouldn't always conveniently land just where she was standing she improved quickly.

Back home for a quick lunch before Carlos took Anna to a party and me and J hung out at home. Mainly indoors after a mad period melting in the garden playing badminton in a scorching sun.

And then to this which was primarily a very relaxed spot of BBQing and chatting with some light sporting action for the kids thrown in.
