OMG I'm turning into my mum!
We have been given so many baby clothes as gifts for Ethan over the past month which I haven't had time to sort through yet. They have been washed but then just piled up on the nursing chair in the nursery. Although I detest ironing (hence the reason I didn't object all those times last year when Mum did mine for me), I decided today that enough was enough and started ironing all the baby clothes. It will probably be the only time they get ironed, as I'm not planning on ironing sleepsuits etc on a daily basis, but thought it would be nice to have them all neat and sorted into age groups to put away in the chest of drawers. I'm sure Mum will be proud of me, but there is still lots more ironing to be done just so she doesn't feel left out when she comes over tomorrow, haha!
As for Ethan, well we had the best night so far last night! After reading up on it, and digesting all the helpful tips I've had on here, we think he has colic. The Health Visitor recommended infacol so we bought that yesterday and started him on it. We also bought a toy which is sound activated and projects moving images on the ceiling and plays relaxing music when baby cries. So this was fitted to his crib. Before bedtime, we gave Ethan a bath (he actually went in with me, which was lovely until he pooped in the bath! So I don't know if it was a combination of these things or just one of them, but it seemed to make a difference! Fingers crossed it wasn't a one off! We have also ordered a miracle blanket which several of you recommended so will give that a go too when it arrives.
