Lady Harvestman
Aka - Mrs. Daddy Long-leg.
Go large to see the cartoonish, turtle-like head... I never knew they had heads like this... In fact I didn't realize that their eyes/head were located exactly in that spot and this time I had focused there by accident. Prior to this I had assumed that the eyes were further toward the front edge... No wonder I never got a shot with their eyes in focus... Silly me. :)
Interesting happenings in the garden today: There's a bumble bee with a broken wing that I'm taking care of with sugar water. He stays in my small garden, crawls as constantly as a bee would fly, but never leaves the area. He can't reach many flowers, so I cut a few down for him as well as the water. Not much more can be done. Then there are the crazy small toads that are brand new to this world. They are about 1/4" long, but easy to spot, because they move so much. I also enjoyed a visit from a new bee, a tri-colored bumble bee! I took tons of images of it, of course, but will save that for another day. :)
