My music man

This is my nedim.
He is playing his Saz - which for those who don't know is more or less a turkish guitar except it has 7 strings, which are situated in 2,2,3 'clumps'??
Nedim taught himself to play when he was a boy. He found a broken saz one day and took it home and repaired it.
He doesn't read music although he understands everything about music, notes, chords, key, everything.
Nedim has always believed music is not about notes on a page but about whats burning inside of you, and he plays what he is feeling. he has the ability to hear music and understand how to reproduce it note for note, in key and with his own style attached.
He is quite amazing, and if you ever find yourselves in the village of Esentepe, Northern Cyprus then am sure you would enjoy listening.
i hope you like the image. to me it says something of nedims personality but i guess you would have to know him to understand that.
