The longest day

It has been and lovely weather for our two parties.
The first of which was the open day at Staffordshire Gliding Club. Bring your own food and chair - tea, coffee and an abundance of homemade cakes, scones biscuits etc. made by the hardworking wives of the committee members and the Trentham Brass Band for accompaniement for most of the afternoon interspersed with glider flights for the daring and a fine model aircraft display. We had a great afternoon.

Party No. 2 was 30 miles away from home and after a quick change we set off to fellow glider pilot's beautiful house and garden just outside Much Wenlock for a Summer garden party, and an equally lovely time was had by all. Very, very sadly though a friend who is battling with a brain tumour became very ill and the paramedics and ambulance had to be called which put a bit of a blight on proceedings, therefore home earlier than expected. All my party shots are not worthy of note so I was pleased to see my peonies in full bloom when we got home, and very thankful for Mr T's and my more than reasonably good health.
