Panda hunt successful

This is Yang Guang (Sunshine) the male panda at Edinburgh Zoo. He was being very lazy today - all he did was slither off his bed onto the floor so it was quite difficult to get a decent shot of him. Last year when we came to see h he was much more cooperative, demonstrating serious bamboo eating. Sitting looking most photogenic. Last year too we saw the female panda even though she was only inside. Today she was in the back room away from prying eyes where they hope she is beginning to nest maybe.

They've had to use artificial inseminatipn again this year as she won't let him near her !

Edinburgh has been beautiful today - much warmer than we expected.
