Cornwall Day 2
Due to a performance later in the day and a badly organised local bus service, we were up suuuuper early for our trip to the Minack Theatre.
The weather was beautiful so we dressed for summer, but the forecast was awful, so we also took boots and waterproof clothes just in case (we ended up not needing them in the end).
The Minack Theatre was amazing, I really want to see a play there. Preferably The Tempest, that would be so cool. The view of Porthcurno bay was insane too, and the sea was such a ridiculous shade of blue that it was hard to convince ourselves it wasn't just a backdrop.
We had a coffee in the clifftop cafe to enjoy the view a bit longer, then walked back down the hill to the beach. We paddled (I got a little wetter than planned) and then lazed on the sand for a while until we dried out. A seagull tried to steal our bags.
Back to Penzance for a while, ate pasties by the harbour and had a wander round all the charity shops. I bought a book. From a bookshop. A new book! I haven't bought a new book for years.
In the evening we wrote postcards, and then went out to eat chips on the beach. It ended up raining, so we ate 2 chips each so we could say we'd done it, and ran home with the rest.
