How many toys does a dog need?

A posed blip!

By the end of the day, I seem to be trampling on all these dog toys. They are stored above his Vari-Kennel crate, Hector's bedroom, in the kitchen. He collects them one by one through the day, so by nightfall they are scattered throughout the house and garden. Each evening I go around the house ensuring everything is collected and put away. A dusky chore!
He likes to greet visitors with a mouth-held toy and often does his zoomies round the house with one, too.
His pile of hide chews seems to grow in number. Hector has one now as I post this blip.
Stepping on these toys is becoming a real hazard!
