Glensanda Superquarry

This is where I have been working for the last three days. My accommodation is on site and is in the brown 2 storey building in the centre. It's a fascinating place so if you want to know more there is a little on wikipedia

This doesn't show the primary quarry area where they excavate the granite just the offices loading bay and silt tip, know on site as the secondary area.

In the background is the spectacular view up Loch Linnhe with Ben Nevis towards the top right. Lots to see in this shot so worth looking large

Oh yes you can also see the Glensanda castle once home to the MacLeans and the lagoon at the back is part of the silt tip and settling ponds most of which is out of the picture.

This is an extremely remote but most amazing place to be working and I have a huge number of amazing shots that I am now trying to sort
