Blue Tree

This tree has pride of place in a garden I pass by when I walk back from the Meadowbank gym to my flat. I've always admired it's silvery blue bark that peels back to reveal many gradations of colour but I didn't find out till last year that it is a eucalyptus tree. (I had been to a botanical garden and a tree much the same was labeled conveniently. Also my brother and sister in law went to Hawaii and took pictures of eucalyptus trees that have incredible rainbow bark...amazing!) I often cut down this street as I did today just so I can gaze upon it's loveliness. Now who can say that trees aren't good for the soul!
