Luminosity

It was K's birthday today, I had hoped to do something special but unfortunately I was working so a card and a kiss had to do. I think I was more bothered by it than he was, it just seemed strange after the norm of the last few years spending a lovely day together followed by dinner. I suppose it wasn't all that bad...he insisted on making dinner so as he prepared I ventured down to the back garden to get some inspiration for a blip. I came across this feather laying in the grass and decided to take a few photos. I was struck by the contrast between the pure white feather and the deep rich green of the grass.
