My favourite rose

I had a great group of Chiltern Society Conservation Volunteers at the nature reserve today and we got lots of footpath and scrub clearance done.. In one of the areas where we were working there was lots of really fresh Field Rose, Rosa arvensis - my favourite wild rose. Here is just one flower from a great mass in one bush, with a visiting bee. My other favourite rose, my youngest daughter, is many miles away in Thailand at the moment and it's her birthday tomorrow - Happy Birthday Polly Rose.
