Butterfly heaven
Meghri and the Arevik National park in the mountains of the south of Armenia is a butterfly paradise. There are around 115 species (half the total Armenian list) to be found in a relatively small area and quite a few are endemic. I still have many photos to sort through, but this lovely copper is a good example - not in any of the books I have, so probably a local Caucasian species. added later: I now know this is Tomares romanovi thanks to Armenian butterfly expert Karen Aghababyan.
