Aztec Statue

While in Mexico City a week ago we had the opportunity to see many, many Aztec statues of all shapes and sizes. The craftsmanship was incredible, even more so considering the primitive tools that were used to carve and create those we were fortunate enough to see. For Father's Day yesterday, my wife presented me with my very own Aztec talisman for display in my "office". This photo provides no sense of scale so it could be as large as some of those we saw in D.F., but in reality it is a nice compact 10 cm tall. The perfect size to sit next to my computer and remind me of that fun week spent with my very thoughtful spouse.
