Hello visitor

I'm not sure what had been going on since yesterday evening, but the bird feeder had clearly been under attack.

The peanut feeder was on the floor, with the contents eaten or scattered.
The fat block was also on the floor - and well consumed.
Lots of young starlings were scrapping and I think they were largely to blame.

The jay was not best pleased. (He returned after I had sorted out the debris and refilled his peanuts)

And while I was sorting the wreckage, I noticed this gorgeous Speckled Wood. He/she stayed just long enough for me to fetch my camera and take a quick shot. Again, I had the macro lens on so it wasn't easy to capture the magic.

Wasn't Lionel Messi wonderful last night !
