Osaka: The Bride
Last night I danced and sang and chatted to locals (well it was more like a combination of charades and Pictionary). I submerged myself in a world of bright lights, beautiful people and tailored suits. (It’s fair to say as a tallish, pale white (even by Australian standards), curly haired tourist I stood out a little). It was everything I’d expect from an international hub. Fast, intense and amazing.
Today, at an ancient castle a bride, so elegant and beautiful poses. She is quintessential Japanese, she is history standing right there in front of me, a time passed but here right now in that same city.
What a contrast, how lucky to experience this.
