Book Club

Tonight is Book Club.
I am an avid reader, so this is a highlight on my calendar.
A group of us meet once a month and talk about the books we have recently read. We each contribute a small amount of money and each month's host uses it to purchase two or three books of their own choice. These are added to the book club library for the year.
I have read some amazing books and often they are books which ordinarily, I would not choose. The last one was so good that I didn't want to begin another! I just wanted to think about the extraordinary story and savour it like a nice glass of wine.
