Poppy Seed Pod

This is a seed pod which I saved from my Poppies last summer. They are the big red /pink fluffy variety which I adore.
This one, along with others are in an arrangement of other dried garden flowers on our hearth.
When you pop these pods hundreds of tiny black seeds burst out and hopefully, some will grow into lush plants and so the cycle will begin again.
