Some of the people who gathered at Dunoon's West Bay this afternoon to draw attention to the threat to site a massive wind farm on the line of hills in the background of this photo. Few in the town yet realise the scale of what is being proposed by German company PNE; instead, PNE approach small interest groups in the area and offer financial inducement to them if they will acquiesce.

In fact the proposed development is so large that the decision will rest with the Scottish Government, so large that it will dominate the skyline between Dunoon and Innellan, so large that it will have several knock-on effects on people who live in the communities down the coast, so large that it will be visible from the Arrochar Alps.
