Early

The other day I blipped a late-night photo of the still-light sky at 1am; today shows the rosy-fingered dawn (as in Homer, Virgil et al) at 4am. When I went to bed last night, it was already after 1am and I knew I wasn't sleepy. Three hours later I was up with my camera, hanging out of the window into the dawn chorus snapping this, and wondering if I shouldn't just give up and do something useful. 

In the event I went back to bed and slept like the dead for four hours. But let's hope I don't do that again for a while, dawn or no dawn...
